About Lisa Schleicher

I was a camper at Stony Lake back in 1986.  I dreamed of be a counselor someday because they knew all the words to all the songs!  Eight years later, I joined the camp staff at Michi-lu-ca and stayed around until 2013.  So much of my heart is connected to my time at the camps and all the campers and staff who spent time there.  In 2023, I got a chance to reopen that part of my life by visiting Stony Lake again--this time as an adult leader.  

All of these new campers were welcomed to camp without any financial barrier thanks to the new pricing structure.  A camper's family can choose to pay full price, half price, or no price.  No matter which payment level a family chooses, the campers all get access to the same level of programming.  Each camper receives a free t-shirt on their first full day.  Every day they receive a free drink and snack from the camp store.  

The idea that there should be no financial barrier to a camp experience is powerful and can only be possible through the support of all the people who believe that time at camp can be life building and life changing.  Thank you for helping me fill my BINGO! card!  Your gift will be doubled through Living Water Ministries Welcome to All 1:1 Matching Gift Challenge.
